On May 29, Mr. Wang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, visited the Wujiang National Modern Agriculture Industrial Park to inspect the field operation of autonomous harvesters developed by Suzhou Jofae Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. (Jofae). Accompanying the visit were Vice Mayor Zha Yingdong, members of the municipal and district governments, and officials from the agricultural authorities. As China enters the critical summer harvesting season, the Tongli area of the Wujiang National Modern Agriculture Industrial Park has taken the lead in achieving fully mechanized, precision-based, and autonomous field operations through collaboration with local agricultural equipment manufacturers, including Jofae.
During the visit, Jofae’s autonomous harvesters operated smoothly across the rice fields, following pre-programmed routes and automatically completing harvesting, threshing, and grain unloading processes without human intervention.
